God's Little Devotional Book for Women

This book is another one of my favorite short devotional books. Each devotion has a quote, a verse, and a short story to get you thinking about the verse’s application. Even when I feel like I have no time for quite time in the mornings, I find I can sit down with this book for 2-5 min and still have something to consider throughout my day. If you’re just starting making daily quiet time a priority or find yourself in a season where you don’t have much time, this book can help.

Jesus Calling

Yes, everyone has read this recently, but it is that good! Each day begins with a “message” from God to you. It’s like reading a little love note every day. Then below it are verses for you to read that go along with the note. Though each day’s reading probably takes five minutes or less, they are still deep enough to give you something to think about and take with you throughout your day. So if you’ve wanted to begin a daily Bible study, and you don’t have time for a longer one, check out this book from Sarah Young.

Gods Inspiration

by Max Lucado

God’s Inspirational Promise Book is excerpts from Max Lucado’s books arranged according to topic as short devos and paired with corresponding verses. I have used this book as a quick devo when I only have a few minutes, and as a starting place when I’m hurting and need someone to help guide me back to God. Either way this book has helped me through several seasons of life, and is one of my favorites on my book shelf.

How To Be Free

Jennifer has a lot of great content on her website. One of my favorite studies she has done is a 40 day email study of Exodus. This study has a short reading from Exodus each day along with a few short thoughts from Jennifer and some questions to help you apply the ideas to your own life. If you’d like to go deeper with Exodus or struggling with finding freedom in an area of your life, check this study out!

IF:Equip

This website is one of my favorite quite time resources! Each day they email you a few verses, some leading questions, and a short video on the verses. The women who join Jenny on the videos are many of your favorite bloggers. If you need a short but insightful study. Check this one out!

This website is full of encouragement just like its name suggests. It has blog posts, devotionals, Bible studies, books, products, access to (in)courage groups that meet in real life. No matter where you are in life, you can find a place in this community.
