Welcome to OverACup! I’m Tara, founder of OverACup, and I’m so glad you’re here to join Cindy, Amber, and me over coffee (or your favorite hot drink) as we seek to spend time regularly with God. We are a team of a Mother (Cindy) and her two daughters (Amber and Tara), who know from our own experiences lasting healing and growth can only be found in spending time with God regularly.
The name OverACup comes in part from my childhood when each morning I got up to find my Mom sitting on the couch with a Bible on her lap and a cup of coffee in her hand. Her daily ritual helped her build her own relationship with God, transformed the outcome of our family, and gave us kids a strong foundation to do the same.
It also comes from the times around my kitchen table with my friends. Over our coffee in the mornings we have laughed together, cried together, and prayed together. I hope you find that same friendship and community here.
Since I can’t invite all of you into my kitchen to join me for coffee, this site is where we gather each week over a cup to share about our days, fill up on God’s word, apply His truth to our lives, and encourage each other as we seek to pour Him out to our families and those around us.
I would love for you to join us! You can share your email with us below. When you do you’ll receive one or two posts a week. These posts will encourage you to dive into God’s word regularly, find healing and growth, and help you begin sharing Him with those around you. We are not experts, but we would love for you to join us as we seek God and allow Him to guide us on this journey.
At OverACup our purpose is to connect women to God, so they can build a strong relationship with Him that transforms both them and those around them. We do this through encouraging and preparing women for regular quiet time with God, building a deeper relationship with Him, and making their walk with Him an integral part of daily life. Our mission comes from:
“Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. 8Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” ~ Deut. 6:4-9, NLT
Sister, we are here to come alongside you and to encourage you to make God not just someone you visit with on the weekends, but someone who is intimately involved in your days. If you’d like to join this community of women who are in each other’s corner and encouraging each other in their walk with God, place your information in the boxes below. When you do, we’ll also send you a list of our 21 Favorite Quiet Time Resources to help you get started on your journey.
